This is Evan’s fourth year dancing.

 

Evan loves loves loves to dance. It doesn’t matter if music is even on! He will always dance his heart out! He is very competitive and loves playing games, video games and board games. He’s also a huge football fan! His favorite team is the 49ers!

Sydney D.

15 years old

Dancing in Luso for 13 years

Sydney decided to go to Praia with YC4 because she is excited to meet new people and get to learn where she and her ancestors are from.

She cheers for her high school and is also a member of FFA!

Dancers Of The Week – April 27, 2015

We have been SUPER busy planning for our trip!

As we are getting closer and closer, we get more and more appreciative of how awesome and dedicated our dancers are. They’ve been working so incredibly hard and can’t wait to show you all what they’ve been working on.

Kenzie Y and JJ H!

Kenzie Y.

3 years old – almost 4!

This is Kenzie’s first year dancing.

Kenzie is super excited to be dancing with her luso family. Her favorite part about dancing is learning new dances and having fun with her friends. She looks up to her older brother Blake, and they practice together at home all the time.

An interesting thing about Kenzie is that she loves to color, play teacher and being a mommy to her dolls. She’s also super sassy and a little firecracker that is full of energy!

JJ H.

8 Years Old

5 years in Luso

JJ’s favorite part about dancing is getting to dance with his friends.

A cool thing about JJ is that he loves playing football and wants to play for the Raiders one day!

Dancers Of The Week – March 9, 2015

 This week we are very excited to showcase…

Isaac V and Julia M!

Isaac V.

1o years old

Member since he was 2 years old

Isaac’s favorite part of dancing is the friendships that he has built. He loves his YC4 family and enjoys spending time with them! YC4 has allowed him to overcome his fears of being on stage. In 2014, Isaac participated in our musical variety skit and had a main part. He was able to use his Luso skills in school to sing and perform in front of his classmates and family. He thanks YC4 for helping him grow!

Isaac has a love for sports, especially baseball. Isaac’s family strongly believes that his confidence in sports comes from what he has learned and achieved through YC4.

Julia M.

9 Years Old

7 years in Luso

Julia’s favorite part of dancing is being able to spend time with her friends and learn more about “Portuguese stuff!”

Something very interesting about Julia is that she loves fashion design! She enjoys drawing her own fashions and is learning to sew.

This week meet our two new Dancers Of The Week…

Gavin V and Giorgio R!

Gavin V.

12 Years Old

12 years in Luso

Gavin attended his first Luso convention at 12 weeks old. He likes to dance because his group is filled with his cousins and festa friends. He looks forward to practice and learning challenging choreography!

Gavin has really enjoyed being a Linden Lion football player. He plays the piano, and alto & baritone sax. He’s an Honor Roll student too, and is looking forward to being Festas Da Praia with YC4 and Disneyland with his school band this summer.

 

Giorgio R.

8 Years Old

3 years in Luso

Giorgio likes dancing in YC4 because he gets to make new friends.

Giorgio likes playing soccer, and also driving the lawn mower!

Dancers Of The Week – Jan 11, 2015

We are very excited to showcase biographies from each and every one of our dancers this year, so that our supporters can get to know us personally! We all have different hobbies and different interests…but our unified passion is our love for Luso!

This week’s dancers of the week are:

Brandon A and Blake Y!

Brandon A.

Age 18

10 years in Luso

Brandon is passionate about dancing because he believes dancing in YC4 is one of the best ways for him to have fun and make friends.

Something interesting about Brandon is that he is a member of Sheldon Theatre Company since his freshman year of high school. He says although his theatre company is fun, his favorite role ever was being Olaf in our musical variety performance “Frozen in Our Culture” last year. He says his friends still call him Olaf everyday!

 

Blake Y.

6 Years Old

6 years in Luso

Blake is passionate about dancing in Luso because it’s fun and he loves seeing all of his family and friends at convention.

Blake’s favorite hobby is basketball. He loves the sport and says he wants to be a Basketball coach when he grows up!
